Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose HPMC is a non-ionic, water soluble cellulose ether. It is widely used as thickener, protective colloid, stabilizer, suspending aids and water-retention agents in many industrial applications. It enhances water-retention, besides providing well-balanced properties including open time, slip resistance, adhesion, good impact resistance and shear strength.

1. Moisture absorption and retention: Since HPMC can absorb water several times heavier than itself, it can maintain high water retention in mortar, gypsum, paint and other products.

2. High-quality solubility: it can quickly dissolve in cold water to form transparent mucus, which is active. Can protect the colloid.

3. Low ash content: HPMC has the characteristics of thermal gel. In the preparation process, it is washed with hot water to achieve the purpose of refining, so the content of ash and impurities is particularly low.
