EVA Resin
Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is abbreviated as EVA. The content of vinyl acetate (VA) is 5%-40%. Compared with polyethylene, EVA has been widely used in the fields of foamed shoes, functional greenhouse film, packaging film, hot melt adhesive, wire and cable, toys and so on, because of the introduction of vinyl acetate monomer in the molecular chain, which reduces the high crystallinity, improves flexibility, impact resistance, filler compatibility and thermal sealing performance.
EVA resin is characterized by good flexibility, rubber-like elasticity, good flexibility at - 50 C, good transparency and surface gloss, good chemical stability, anti-aging and ozone resistance, non-toxicity. It has good mixing property with filler, good dyeing and processing property.
Application of EVA Resin
EVA resin is widely used. Generally, the content of ethylene acetate is less than 5% of EVA, whose main products are films, wires and cables, LDPE modifiers, adhesives, etc. The content of ethylene acetate is 5%~10% of the EVA products are elastic films, etc. The content of ethylene acetate is 20%~28% of the EVA products, mainly used for hot-melt adhesives and coatings; the content of ethylene acetate is 5%~45%, and the main products are films (including agricultural films) and coatings. Sheet, injection, moulding products, foamed products, hot-melt adhesives, etc. Such as:
(1) Films, thin sheets and laminated products: with sealing, adhesion, softness, toughness, compactness, suitable for elastic packaging film, heat shrinkable film, agricultural film, food packaging film, laminated film, can be used as the middle layer of polyolefin laminated film.
(2) General articles: It has the advantages of flexibility, environmental stress cracking resistance and good weather resistance. It is suitable for industrial materials such as insulating bags for power wires, household appliances accessories, window sealing materials, etc.
(3) Daily groceries include sports goods, toys, cushions, belts, sealed container caps, EVA rubber football, etc.
(4) Automotive accessories include shock absorbers, fenders, interior and exterior decorative accessories, etc.
(5) Foamed products: Pressure foamed plastic slippers, sandals, building materials, etc. Injection foaming has a variety of industrial components, women's soles, hot-melt adhesives and so on.
